FUFA releases statement after Uganda coach Micho is found guilty of sexual assault

FUFA has released a statement after Uganda Cranes coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic was found guilty of sexual abuse.

Micho was found guilty of two sexual assault counts committed in Gqeberha while coaching Uganda in the COSAFA games in December 2020.

FUFA says Milutin will resume since the case has been concluded.

"The Uganda Cranes coach Milutin Sredojevic asked FUFA for permission to attend to a private matter in South Africa," a statement read.

"We have this afternoon received information that the private matter has been concluded for now.
The coach will come back to resume his duties accordingly."

The 52-year-old has been sentenced to three years imprisonment, which is suspended for five years. Further reports claim that Sredojevic's legal representatives have been granted leave to appeal the decision.
