Paul Scholes: Aaron Wan-Bissaka is useless on the ball

Following his poor performance against Manchester City in Saturday's derby defeat, ex-Manchester United player Paul Scholes has described Aaron Wan-Bissaka as "useless on the ball."

In the first half, the right-back was caught out of position as Phil Foden sprinted down the left flank, and he also lost possession 12 times at Old Trafford.

Ole's Red Devils beaten by their noisy neighbours

Wan-attacking Bissaka's ability have been questioned on several occasions, and Scholes believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's new three-at-back style isn't helping the former Crystal Palace man.

Speaking to Premier League Productions, Scholes said: "I said before the 3-5-2 doesn't suit the players in the team. Wan-Bissaka is useless on the ball - brilliant defender but useless on the ball at right-back.

"Three centre-halves today, none of them that good on the ball. Ole has got to find a way. There's a squad of players there that could be okay."

Man United news on Futaa!

Despite Saturday's disappointing setback, Wan-Bissaka has two goals and ten assists in 114 appearances with the Red Devils, who remain fifth in the Premier League table.
