Leicester City are interested in signing Inter Milan midfielder Mattias Vecino according to reports from Italy.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the player has expressed his desire in leaving Inter in the summer when his contract runs out but the club is keen on getting some money in January.
Vecino was approached by Napoli in recent months but the player is willing to try an experience abroad and he is well-liked in England and apart from Leicester, Newcastle United is said to be the other club to have enquired about his services.
The Uruguayan is determined to leave the club in January so that he can get more regular first-team football and maintain his place in the Uruguayan national team. The player has made 12 Serie A appearances this campaign, but they have come at the end of matches. In total, he has managed 271 minutes of play and scored one goal.
Matías Vecino joined Inter Milan in August 2017 from Fiorentina and apart from the Premier League clubs, he had been linked with a move to Juventus and Genoa.
