Chelsea are considering a January bid for Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele, according to reports.
While Dembele's contract has just over five months remaining, he was informed on Friday that he would be sold if he did not agree to new terms at Camp Nou.
The decision enraged the 24-year-old, who appeared to want to finish the season with his current club, but a departure within the next 10 days is now a genuine possibility.
Contact with the player's agents began earlier in the transfer window, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Despite the fact that talks did not develop at that point, Chelsea, who are managed by Dembele's former Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel, are evaluating whether to take advantage of his situation.
Newcastle United are also keeping an eye on the situation, despite their early expectations of signing Dembele in the summer.
