French giants Paris Saint Germain are open to selling Lionel Messi in the summer if they can find a suitable offer.
Messi joined PSG last summer but hasn't lived up to expectations with the club crashing out of the Champions League despite holding a two-goal advantage against Real Madrid in the round of 16.
According to French journalist Abdellah Boulma, PSG are considering sanctioning the exit of Messi as they are not satisfied with the attacker’s performance, given that he has only scored two goals in the league so far.
Messi was even whistled and jeered during PSG’s win over Bordeaux earlier in the year, shortly after the club was eliminated from the UEFA Champions League and according to the journalist, the club is prioritizing a contract renewal for Kylian Mbappe.
The Frenchman has heavily been linked with a move to Real Madrid but there is a feeling that he might be convinced to stay if PSG breaks the bank for his services; the player is said to be keen on becoming the best earner in the world football.
Messi has been linked with a return to Barcelona but in a recent interview with RAC1, Barcelona President Joan Laporta dismissed the possibility of the player rejoining the club.
