After reports emanating from Rwanda suggested that Jacques Tuyisenge is close to agreeing on a move to DRC Congo outfit AS Vita, the Gor Mahia talisman has rubbished the reports while committing his future at Gor Mahia.

According to an article by Igihe on 24th December last year, Tuyisenge was close to agreeing on a deal with the 2018 CAF Confederations Cup finalists. Tuyisenge joined Gor Mahia back in 2016 from Rwandan club Police FC and has scored 50 goals for K'Ogalo hence becoming the seventh all-time Gor Mahia top scorer after Meddie Kagere, Sammy Onyango ‘Jogoo’, Allan Thigo, Hesbon Omollo, Peter Dawo, George Yoga and John Chore.

Tuyisenge committed his future at Gor Mahia while denying the AS Vita reports, "I still don't know where the reports originated from because when I asked the Rwandan news outlet, they told me that they got it from the Congolese media. I'm still a Gor Mahia player, my contract is still on and I have no intentions of leaving the club anytime soon."

The former Police goal poacher was also glad to see his side return to winning ways in the 2-0 win over Chemelil Sugar after two straight losses, "We had put an end to the losing streak, this is a new year and we said that this year we have to go back to our winning mentality when the season is still young because you can easily fall off pace with the top of the table. "

Tuyisenge will be hoping to bag his first goal of the season when they take on Mathare United on Sunday 6th January.
