Chelsea is reportedly moving quickly to make up for the imminent departure of Cesc Fabregas by agreeing deals for two central midfielders.
Leandro Paredes has experience in Italy after a three-year stint at Roma before moving to Zenit in Russia. Lesser-known Nicolo Barella plays for Cagliari and is capped by the Italy national team.
Paredes is known for his strong distribution skills from a deep-lying midfield position, a trait that outgoing Cesc Fabregas has become world-renowned for throughout his career.
