CAF CC: KCCA want to use continental experience to beat Congolese minnows

12 Jan 2019, 11:50

KCCA FC’s assistant coach Morley Byekwaso believes that the experience that the team has gained in previous continental assignments is all that they need to beat AS Atoho.

The two sides lock horns on Sunday in the first leg of their CAF Confederations playoffs fixture.

Byekwaso says that the team is now ready for the big stage and wants his side not to leave any stone unturned on Sunday in Owando, 500km North of Congo’s capital, Brazzaville.

“Everyone is focused, positive and determined and they want to go pick a result in Owando on Sunday,” Byekwaso told the club media.

“We have experience on the continent after playing the big boys in Al Ahly and Esperance last year and we cannot afford to be clumsy like it was at the start. The lads have to be fearless against AS Otoho and pick a good result in the 1st leg,” he added.

The aggregate winner of the two-legged tie will advance to the CAF Confederations group stage.
