The Bundesliga leaders have the perfect opportunity to get back to winning ways tonight against Bundesliga bottom club Nurnberg.

A 2-0 defeat at Hannover last time out spelt the end for Nuremberg boss Michael Köllner as his side slipped into last place. Managerless and on a 15-game winless Bundesliga run, the Bavarians now welcome leaders Borussia Dortmund who put seven past them in September’s reverse fixture. With Nurnberg rock bottom of the Bundesliga, under new management and without a win in the Bundesliga since the 29th of September, this is a great opportunity for Dortmund to reignite their title chase.
Nurnberg duo Dennis Lippert (injured) & Simon Rhein (suspended) will miss the visit of the leaders. Dortmund has a host of injury problems but some players are returning and might be ready for the return leg against Tottenham. As such, many of them might not be risked here. With Lukasz Piszczek out, Achraf Hakimi is expected to continue at right back. Skipper and star man Marco Reus is still unavailable. Mario Gotze is likely to lead the line for BvB.
- Nurnberg has lost seven of their last eight matches in the Bundesliga.
- Dortmund has conceded three goals in each of their last three matches across all competitions.
- Dortmund's last clean sheet was on the 19th of January.
- Borussia Dortmund has scored at least 2 goals in 10 of their last 12 matches against Nuernberg in all competitions.
