Aubameyang scored Arsenal's third goal in the 3-0 win over Stade Rennes that assured their progression to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League. The Gabonese striker proceeded to the back post to pick up his mask and wear it after he admitted that he had planned the same celebration against Manchester United.

Speaking in a press conference after the win over Rennes, Emery refused to comment on Aubameyang's goal celebration after he was booked for it, "I don’t have an opinion about that. For me, the most important thing is his performance today, giving us goals and assist. This is the best for me."
