After their impressive comeback to oust Stade Rennes from the UEFA Europa League, Arsenal manager Unai Emery has played down their chances of lifting the trophy.

Emery is the most successful manager in the competition having won it three consecutive times while managing Sevilla. Inter Milan and Sevilla are out of the competition after their defeats in the Round of 16 leaving Arsenal as one of the favorites left in the competition. This is the only realistic chance of silverware for Arsenal this season after exiting the FA and Carabao Cup and are way behind log leaders Manchester City in the league.

Speaking in a press conference after the 3-0 win over Rennes, Emery played down their chances of winning the tournament, “These two matches have been very difficult. Today, Sevilla are out, Inter Milan are out which is a big surprise. Every team is now an important team and it’s going to be very difficult. But we are going to think the same. Each match is the most important and the competition the same.”
