When Solskjaer took over in December, United were 13 points behind Tottenham Hotspur and 11 points off the top four, the Red Devils are now one point ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea who occupy fifth and sixth respectively with the Gunners playing today. United overwrote their two-game losing streak against Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers to beat Watford at Old Trafford with goals from Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial while Abdoulaye Doucoure grabbed the consolation goal.

In an interview with MUTV, Pereira who was a second-half sub in the game against Watford revealed the change in mentality at the club following Solskjaer's appointment, "The run has been incredible. Even the players didn’t think we would come so far. But, we stuck together and Ole came and did a fantastic job with us and we are delighted to work with him and continue doing our job."
