Free State Stars coach Nikola Kavazović has taken quite a dig on the club’s previous coach Luc Eymael.

The Serb, who joined the Bethlehem club at the start of this season, is currently doing best to help Ea Lla Koto survive the chop.

Speaking shortly after suffering his first loss in three games against Golden Arrows in Durban last weekend, a disappointed Kavazović took the moment to reveal the state that he found the club in.

"Even though I'm trying to improve this club, players individually, it's not easy because I found a dirty, rubbish side which was left by the former coach, players are struggling mentally," he said to Kick Off.

With two more games remaining, Ea Lla Koto are six points off the drop zone and Kavazović suggested former coach Luc Eymael is responsible.

"You know who made this mess, I had to clean that mess first then compete. To be honest, right now we can't threaten anyone, it's a reality, the only positive result we can get now is avoiding automatic relegation,” concluded the 43-year-old coach who earned his move to Mzansi after great success with Township Rollers of Botswana.

Stars next battle Kaizer Chiefs in Polokwane on Saturday where they could seal safety.
