Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri will have tough decisions to make at the end of the season on how to improve his side after FIFA upheld the transfer ban on the club.
What this means for the Italian and the club, in general, is that they cannot sanction any big-money signings as has always been, at least until 2020.
Fortunately, the club has a wealth of young talents that have been loaned out to various European clubs who can step up and fill the gaps where needed.
And as revealed by the manager on Friday, the club has been monitoring all those players on 'weekly basis' with the aim of making a decision at the end of the season.
Here are some of the top players who can be recalled and help the club sustain a possible title challenge.
1. Christian Pulisic
The American, playing for Dortmund, was the last player Chelsea signed before the ban and is expected to join the Blues at the end of the current campaign. He has been touted as Eden Hazard's replacement, and with what he has been doing at Borussia, he can be a key addition to the side.
2. Reece James
James has been a revelation in the Championship for Wigan. His performances in the current campaign have been phenomenal, and the 19-year-old defender might be forced to step into the larger boots of the likes of David Luiz, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
3. Tiemoue Bakayoko
Bakayako was brought in from Monaco after a stunning season with the French side, but he failed to make an impact under Antonio Conte and was shipped out. with the ban, he might find some playing time in the middle of the park for the Blues.
Sarri lacks a real backup to N'golo Kante, and with Bakayoko's style of play, he might have a role to play for the team.
4. Tammy Abraham
It's hard to believe that Abraham is still on the Chelsea books. The Englishman has been on fire for Aston Villa, scoring 25 Championship goals and ending the season as the top highest scorer.
He has not been able to break into the Chelsea senior team but might finally have the chance. With Giroud and Higuain's situations still unclear, it might be his chance.
5. Trevoh Chalobah
The 6ft 3inches 19-year-old midfileder is one of the most promising Blues' prospects and his time at Ipswich Town.
The Blues have options in midfield, but he can be one more addition and the team can benefit from his strong runs and dribbling skills.
