Cahill eager to remain in the Premier League after Chelsea exit

Gary Cahill is eager for a move to another Premier League team next season when his current contract with Chelsea expires in the summer.

The former England international has struggled for playing time for the Blues this season, managing just two Premier League appearances and was an unused substitute as they won the Europa League final over Arsenal

"I'm confident that potentially I might stay in the league but I want to wait and see, take the decision over the summer," he told Sky Sports

"I've got a lot of time to think about things and hopefully make the right decision. I can't wait to get back playing next season. I'm looking forward to that."

The 33-year-old defender joined Chelsea from Bolton in 2012.
