It is an honor to play for Chipolopolo- Mwape Musonda
Zambia national team striker Mwape Musonda has described the experience of being part of the Chipolopolo boy's squad currently in North Africa for a tour of duty as an honor.
The 2018/19 PSL top goalscorer revealed that he was patiently waiting for a national team call and believes it has come at the right time. Mwape played his second game for the Copper Bullets on Saturday against Cameroon and scored his first goal in national colors.
"I think everyone is looking to play in the national team When you get a call up it's a great honor and opportunity to help the team. It has been long coming, I have been patient all these seasons but then obviously I had to wait for the right time. I have come at a time that I have had two good consecutive seasons coming out as a top goalscorer and I hope I can be able to bring the same form to the national team," He said.
"It was a good experience for everyone. We can see the intentions of the coach bringing the U23 it will help them in their game in September, Even us senior guys had a feel of playing such a high-level friendly match," he added.
Zambia is in Morocco for a camp on the invitation of the Royal Morocco Football Federation and will face Herve Renard tutored Atlas Lions on Sunday as they look to record their first win of the tour having lost to Morocco last weekend.
