Baxter reveals when he'll make decision on his future

Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter has confirmed he will make a decision to stay or leave South Africa’s national side.

Baxter had originally expressed some frustrated feelings towards the South African Football Association (SAFA) long before the start of AFCON 2019 - which had strained the relationship further.

Bafana’s disappointing exit at the hands of Nigeria at the quarter-final stage has fueled more suggestions that Baxter will step down as Bafana’s boss.

“It has been a long campaign, I’ll go back to Sweden for a few days and look at myself and say, ‘Do you really think, given the situation, you can take the team forward?’” Baxter told journalists in a press conference in South Africa.

“If the answer is ‘no’ I will step aside, and if it’s ‘yes’ then I will speak to my employer and if they think the same, I will get on with the job,” Baxter concluded.
