Unai Emery has revealed he is still waiting for a decision from Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny after the club’s captain refused to travel to the United States for the pre-season tour.
On Thursday the Frenchman refused to head to the US as he is keen to leave the club this summer. According to reports, Koscielny reached an agreement with the club to be released this summer and sign for another club. However, the north London side stood firm, leaving the 33-year-old facing disciplinary action for his self imposed strike.
"For me now, it's clear. We need to keep moving ahead. We're playing with the spirit to create a new way. Now it's a matter for him and the club. They need to speak and are speaking about his situation ... I'm waiting on his conversation and decision."
Koscielny’s contract with the Gunners is set to expire at the end of next season.
