Leicester City do not have to sell defender Harry Maguire to Premier League rivals Manchester United says manager Brendan Rodgers.
Maguire has been heavily linked with a move to United with the Foxes rejecting second been of £70million for the defender from Red Devils. And Rodgers, who has lauded the centre-back has confirmed the bid didn’t meet the club’s valuation of their player.
"There will be that,” he said when asked if Leicester will be forced to make a decision.
"Of course, we can't leave ourselves short. There are obviously going to be targets that we have in mind if Harry was to move on, but we don't have to sell, we don't need to sell,” he added.
"If there's not a bid that meets our valuation then we won't go right until the very end (of the transfer window) because if we then looked to get in someone it could be too late. There will be a point in time that even if the valuation is met, it may be too late."
Maguire’s contract with the Foxes is set to expire in the summer of 2023.
