πŸš¨πŸ“ BREAKING: Matthijs de Ligt joins Juventus in €75m deal

The 19-year-old defender has agreed on a five-year contract worth a basic €16m (£14.5m) a season which could rise to €24m (£21.7m) with add-ons.

De Ligt has been involved in a massive tug-of-war for his signature between Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus but he has settled on a move to Turin.

Juventus signed Cristiano Ronaldo for €100m last summer and the addition of De Ligt is a massive statement signing for a club chasing Champions League glory. They've had a busy window already, adding Luca Pellegrini from Roma and Christian Romero from Genoa for a combined £43.3m. Turkish defender Merih Demiral has joined from Sassuolo for roughly £16.1m, completing their raid on Serie A clubs.

Gianluigi Buffon has completed a romantic return to the club on a free transfer, while midfielders Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey, from PSG and Arsenal respectively, have also joined on free transfers.

What a transfer window for Juventus so far!
