Sporting Lisbon winger Felix Correia has revealed that he has signed for Manchester City as he also opened up on how Pep Guardiola persuaded him to join the club.
Correia becomes City's fifth signing of the summer, after club-record arrival Rodri, returning left-back Angelino, Zack Steffen, and Liam Delap. Currently representing Portugal in the U19 Euros in Armenia, Felix has one goal and one assist from his opening two games to follow on from his seven goals in 20 appearances for Sporting's U19s.
In an interview with Vbet News, Correia revealed that he had signed for City, "I signed a deal for Manchester City. But I'm fully focused on this championship. I'm looking forward to working hard and join the main team."
The 18-year-old also revealed how Guardiola convinced him to sign for City, "I admire him a lot. The few times that I talked to him I was really impressed. I'm eager to start working with him."
While the deal hasn't been formally announced, reports suggest City have agreed on an initial fee of around £3m, rising to £6m with bonuses.
