Dropped Gor Mahia defender, Waruru joins KCB

Dropped Gor Mahia defender Pascal Ogweno and Stephen Waruru have each joined Kenyan Premier League side KCB FC on a two-year deal.

Ogweno was among the players officially dropped by Gor Mahia in the current window with others being midfielder Cercidy Okeyo, striker Erisa Ssekisambu, Francis Kahata who has since moved to Simba SC, Jacques Tuyisenge who was confirmed at Petro Atletico and goalkeeper Shaban Odhoji.

Ogweno move to KCB is said to have been instigated by head coach Zedekiah Otieno who worked with the player at Gor Mahia last season.

Free Agent

Striker Waruru, on the other hand, had been a free agent after leaving Sofapaka FC last week; the player joining Piston Mutamba, Mike Oduor, and Cliff Kasuti out of the Sofapaka door.

Apart from the duo, KCB has roped in the services of defender Moses Odhiambo from KPL newbies Kisumu All-Stars.

KCB finished in the tenth position in their debut season in the last campaign and will hope that the appointment of Zedekiah as their new man in charge to replace the departed Franck Ouna will give them the improvement they are looking for.
