Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that they must improve their defending after errors costed them in the 3-2 defeat to Borussia Dortmund.
All three of Dortmund's goals owed much to slack play by Liverpool, the opener when Nathaniel Clyne failed to clear his lines, the second following a collective hesitation from a half-cleared set-piece, and the third when left-back Yasser Larouci lost possession inside his own area.
Speaking after the game, Klopp called for his defense to improve, "The goals we conceded were due to a lack of organization around the situations. When you change your team line-ups, it's difficult to have that organization. It will be better in the (rest of) pre-season and the season, it has to be.
"There were a lot of good things and some things that I didn't like which is normal in pre-season. I decide how much we do in training and I know how much we did on Thursday in already pretty warm weather conditions. I still don't like what I see but I know the reason for it. I am not over the moon when I think about our performance but l know there is a lot to come."
