Tula came into the match searching for their first win of the season after drawing their opening game with Dinamo Moskva last Friday. Russian midfielder Sergey Tkachev opened the scores just after connecting well with a ball from Kirill Kombarov inside the area.
Evans Kangwa doubled the lead two minutes later finishing from close range after Tkachev turned provider. Sovetov pulled one back through young attacker Aleksandr Sobolev two minutes to the break.
Tula restored their lead just seven minutes into the second stanza, Romanian forward Alexandru Tudorie with a near-post finish. Defender Taras Burlak reduced the deficit four minutes later but Tula held on to win the match 3-2.
Kangwa put in a good 71-minute shift before being replaced by Georgi Kostadinov. Youngster Lameck Banda was an unused substitute while Klings Kangwa was not part of the matchday squad.
