Zambia Super League side Lusaka Dynamos have lodged an official complaint with the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) over Zesco United alleged illegal holding of striker Chris Mugalu.
According to a letter by Lusaka dynamos club secretary Oliver Shalala obtained by Futaa Zambia, Mugalu is being hosted by Zesco United instead of him reporting for pre-season training with his Lusaka dynamos teammates.
"Lusaka Dynamos would like to officially complain to your good office about the behavior of ZESCO United FC who have decided to take our player Chris Kope Mugalu into their care even when they know he is a contracted player of Lusaka Dynamos. Not only is he a contracted player here but he is supposed to be attending pre-season training with Lusaka Dynamos but ZESCO United have been accommodating him to the point where they even hosted him during that club’s annual awards dinner.
We have read on Social media that he had resigned from Lusaka Dynamos but we have not seen that letter of resignation and even if we had done so, the club does not owe Kope Mugalu money towards his salaries and bonuses as these were paid to his account before he even left for holidays. The proof of payment is there." read part of the letter.
Mugalu has been linked with a move away from the Lusaka based club and is yet to report for training.
