Zlatan Ibrahimovic offers Manchester United transfer advice on Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba has been linked with Juventus and Real Madrid in the current transfer window with Zlatan Ibrahimovic admitting Manchester United should let go of the Frenchman if he wants to leave.

Pogba revealed that he is seeking a new challenge at the start of the summer transfer window, "I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else. I am thinking of this: to have a new challenge somewhere else." United, however, have remained reluctant to sell him with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer considering him to be the next captain.

In an interview with BBC Sport, Ibrahimovic who shares the same agent as Pogba in Mino Riola advised United to let go of the World Cup winner if he wants to leave, "If he doesn’t want to stay it makes no sense to keep him. If he wants to be somewhere else, that is where you let him go.

"Use the situation and bring somebody that wants to stay. The dressing room, the players respect each other, they understand each others’ situation. The club worries more and the management because you don’t want a player in your club or in your team that doesn’t want to stay because you know he won’t give 100 or 200 percent.

"Or he does that and still he doesn’t want to stay so it’s a tricky situation. The best [thing to do] is what is the best for the club. That is what you have to look at."
