Super Eagles midfielder Etebo to resume at Stoke next week

Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo will resume training at his English Championship club Stoke City next week.

Etebo was given extended break following his participation at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt where the Super Eagles won bronze.

The 23-year-old played all Nigeria's seven matches at AFCON 2019 and is now resting with his family in Nigeria.

Stoke City manager Nathan Jones said Etebo is now expected back at the club next week to resume training ahead of the new season.

“I’ve spoken to Pete throughout the summer. We’re very proud of him. He’s now resting with his family.

"He’ll be back with us next week when we can reintegrate him and get him back into league football for Stoke City."

Etebo joined Stoke City from Feirense in 2018.
