Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino might start in the FA Community Shield against Manchester City.
Salah and Firmino impressed as the Reds concluded their pre-season programme with a 3-1 win over Lyon in Geneva on Wednesday evening. Firmino got himself on the scoresheet before being taken off 31 minutes into the game while Salah was a constant menace to the Lyon defense.
Speaking in a press conference after the win over Lyon, Klopp was asked about the duo starting against City, "I don't know yet at the moment. We have to see. I don't say 100% not, but there's a chance they could play. Maybe from the start we can't take people off after half an hour!
"We will have to see how they react tomorrow, now training is not about intensity it is about the detail. We need to really prepare the game, Man City is different from all other games you play, you have to play a pre-season game against Man City to properly prepare for facing Man City!"
