Ghana international Daniel Amartey is set for Leicester City exit and Sheffield United emerge as contenders to sign the player before the close of the summer transfer window.
Sheffield are reported keen on the defender's services as he makes his way to football action after he sustained an ankle injury back in October 2018 which resulted in being on the sidelines for eight months.
The 24-year-old who missed the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt due to injury is said to fit into the Blades boss’ style of play and they would be interested in his signature.
However, if the Blades managed to secure the deal with Leicester then Amartey will be joining Jordan Ayew as the only Ghanaian players to have been transferred from one Premiership to another during the transfer window this season. (via Graphic.com)
Upon joining Leicester back in 2016, the Ghana international has seen himself struggle for regular game time and a move to Sheffield can guarantee him first-team opportunities.
Amartey is still contracted to King Power Stadium until 2022 having signed a five-year deal with the side.
