Absa Premiership side Baroka FC have completed a deal for a striker who scored 30 times in the ABC Motsepe League, but whose goals were all ruled ineligible following a DC case.
Martin "Nsimbi" Nsimba moved from Mpumalanga’s Phiva Young Stars to Limpopo’s Madridtas where he would strike 30 goals in as many matches - before he was found illegally registered, leading his team to suffer a 62-point docking and relegation to the Castle League.
But Nsimba's efforts did not go unnoticed. Baroka have now signed the goal poacher and was immediately set into the squad for the opener against Cape Town City as well as the second game at Bidvest Wits - though he is yet to get minutes in the top division.
Coach Wedson Nyirenda make hand Nsimbi a PSL debut when Baroka next take on Bloemfontein Celtic in Polokwane on Sunday 25 August.
