Green Mamba head coach Caleb Gwenya believes his team loss to Zesco United was due to lack of concentration in defense.
Gwenya was however impressed with his team's overall performance as they created a lot of chances despite them failing to convert.
"We tried to give our best shot in this game but it was highly tactical playing against a very experienced opponent," he said.
"I think we played well in the first half but we were punished following a lapse in concentration in defense and we could have been two up by then. Even after they scored we came back and we were able to create chances but we did not take our chances. This is how you learn, This is a big league. We conceded from our blunders, We made two and they punished us. I think my boys came to the party in this game," he added.
Ugandan striker Umaru Kasumba and John Ching'andu scored a goal each to help Zesco United to a two-nil win in the first leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary round tie.
