Jose Mourinho reveals why Manchester City are better than Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea

After sweeping off all domestic trophies last season, Jose Mourinho has revealed that what sets Manchester City apart from Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United is how the team plays without the ball.

The former Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid manager has landed a new job as a Sky Sports pundit. Mourinho is known for his feisty relationship with Pep Guardiola during their days in Spain when managing Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively and was extended when they both signed for the Manchester clubs.

Mourinho revealed what sets City apart from the traditional English giants, "The best team in England last season was Man City, in a pragmatic way. Liverpool too, but let’s focus on Man City – they won three titles in the domestic league. Don’t you think they are very good when they don’t have the ball? I think they are phenomenal.

"The way they defend, the way they react when they don’t have the ball, their defensive transition – I think they are phenomenal. A top team has to be complete in the four moments of the game – possession, non-possession, defensive transition, attack."
