Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has set Marcus Rashford the challenge of scoring 20 goals in all competitions for Manchester United this season this as reported by the Sun.
Rashford has 18 goals to go if the reports are true as he began his season with two goals in the club’s opening day league clash against Chelsea.
The England international got his first goal of the season from the penalty spot after he was brought down inside the area by Zouma before bringing down a delightful lofted through-ball from Paul Pogba, then slotting it past Kepa Arrizabalaga in the Chelsea goal to make it 3-0 for United in the tie.
Rashford has never scored more than 13 goals across all competitions in a season for United but Solskjaer believes he can achieve the 20-goal mark after handing him the target last week.
The Norwegian boss has reportedly been working with the England international on his movement in and around the box as he looks to rely on Rashford following the departure of Romelu Lukaku.
United went on to win the season-opener in emphatic fashion after Daniel James rounded off the scoring by netting an emotional fourth on his debut.
Rashford will hope to add to his tally when United now face a tough trip to Wolves next Monday.
