Stoke City midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo has assured fans he is going to be fine at the Championship club.
Etebo was handed extended break following his participation at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations where he played all seven games and helped Nigeria win bronze.
He has not featured in the Championship this season but made a lively cameo from the bench in Stoke’s 1-0 win over Wigan in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.
“The first thing is that I’m happy to be back – and the most important thing is that we won. I just have to build myself back in gradually. We all know that the Championship is not easy, it’s one of the most demanding divisions.
“I think I’m going to be fine, I’m going to be all right and the gaffer and my teammates all know I have to come in gradually. But trust me, I’m going to be fine.”
