Dutch clubs setting the pace in Europe after two wins and a draw

PSV Eindhoven had a great night at the office when they had an impressive 3-0 victor over Apollon of Cyprus which has placed the Dutch side in a comfortable position to make the group stage of the Europa League, with the away return leg set for next week.

Feyenoord Rotterdam were on a roll as well when they scored three cracking goals in their win over Israel's Beer Sheva - Leroy Fer netted a brace in the second half.

However, it wasn't all roses for AZ Alkmaar as they managed a 1-1 stalemate in their matchup against Antwerp and according to Dutch News Netherlands, they are likely to struggle to make it through the playoffs.

The Group Stage draw is set to take place on August 30.

In other news, Ajax Amsterdam played to a 0-0 draw over Cyprus league winners APOEL in the first leg of their Champions League qualifier.
