Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hopeful Antony Martial and Luke Shaw will be available for the next English Premier League match against Southampton.
The duo suffered 'minor' injuries on Saturday in their shock 2-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace, and are expected to undergo scans on Sunday to determine the extent of the knocks.
Shaw was forced off in the first half following what seemed like a hamstring injury and was replaced by Ashley Young, while Martial was seen limping in the final minutes of the match.
Speaking after the clash, the Norwegian indicated the injuries were only minor, and they might be available for their next Premier League fixture.
“We’ll do the scans tomorrow but he [Shaw] felt something in his hamstring,” said Solskjaer in his press conference.
“Hopefully, it won’t be too bad and I hope he is going to be back for Southampton.”
“We'll have to wait and see. Hopefully, they won't be too bad and maybe we can have them training during the week.”
United dropped points in the second match running, this coming after the 1-1 draw against Wolves away at Molineux on Monday.
They fell to Jordan Ayew and Patrick Van Aanholt's goals, with the latter scoring late on after Daniel James had pulled the home side level at the death.
They next travel to St. Mary's to face Southampton.
