Manchester United start to the season has not been one that their fans had envisaged this after dropping points against Wolves and Crystal Palace in their first three games.
A chunk of debate on their outings has been on their inability to convert penalty kicks after being awarded three in as many games.
After Marcus Rashford tucked one in their opening day against Chelsea, midfielder Paul Pogba was to miss his kick in their second game against Wolves as United was held to a 1-1 draw at the Molineux.
His miss promoted Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to task Rashford with the penalty duties but the young England striker also missed one in their last weekend loss at home against Palace.
The penalty debate has raged on but by the look of things, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should not be worried on who should take his team’s next penalty as he has two players at his disposal who have 100% record from the spot.
Brazilian Andreas Pereira has netted four penalties in regular time and another in a penalty shootout win, taking his tally to five out of five, according to stats from transfermarkt.
The four goals in normal time all came in his youth career, however, Pereira was the only United player to find the net when they crashed out of the League Cup against Middlesbrough four years ago.
The only other player at the club with a flawless record is Daniel James. The summer signing netted his first penalty while playing in the Premier League 2 for Swansea, and also netted the winner as United defeated AC Milan in their final pre-season fixture earlier this year.
If United gets another penalty in their next tie against Southampton, Solskjaer knows who to turn to.
