Arsenal defender David Luiz believes the North London Derby against Tottenham will be the 'best opportunity' to get back on track following a disappointing 3-1 loss to Liverpool last week.
The Brazilian had an evening to forget at Anfield, and came under heavy criticism over his general play and obvious mistakes that resulted in two goals.
The former Chelsea man, however, feels the match against Tottenham this weekend will provide an opportunity for the team to bounce back.
“There is no better opportunity than that,” said the Brazil centre-half. “We are going to play at home against a fantastic team, against a team who are going to fight with us until the end for the same goals, the same objectives. So, we’re going to do our best to win,"
He added: “It’s going to be a tough game and I’m looking forward to that. When you lose a game, you want to play another game tomorrow. They have signed new players, amazing players, so it’s up to us to win the game,"
This will be his first North London derby, but he has played the Lilywhites countless times during his stay at the Stamford Bridge.
"It’s always special to play football. I play because I love it,” he said. “I still have the ambition to do big things in football. It’s going to be special for me, for sure,"
Arsenal will be hoping to bounce back and get their campaign on track, which started with two wins in the opening two matches; against Newcastle and Burnley.
