Newcastle manager Steve Bruce sung Christian Atsu' praises following his impressive heroics during their match against Tottenham Hotspur.
Atsu featured for more than 70 minutes and provided the assist for the Magpies' lone goal during gameweek three.
The Ghana international came off the bench to replace injured Allan Saint-Maximin in the 20th minute and was exceptional throughout the game for his side.
Newcastle United boss, Steve Bruce told the Northern Echo that the 27-year-old Ghanaian was superb on the day describing his performance as heroic.
“What Atsu did was heroic because I never expected him to be on the pitch for the best part of 80 minutes.
“He's been a concern so I would think there is going to be four or five but; then again, I've got some experienced players who did not even make the squad,” he said.
