Newcastle United and Ghana’s Christian Atsu has continued with his charity efforts by giving financial assistance to a needy student.
Abdul Hamid Ibrahim of Obuasi has confirmed that Atsu has dug into his own pocket to pay for the 17-year-old’s Mining Engineering tuition fees.
The teary young fellow expressed his appreciation to the 27-year-old player, saying that without Atsu’s voluntary help, he would have hopelessly stayed home.
“I am highly grateful to Christian Atsu for his support. Without him, I was going to stay at home”, the youngster said via GhanaWeb.
Ibrahim’s mom was also at hand to send divine blessing towards Atsu: “may God bless Christian Atsu and give him more football playing years. He has brought hope to my son.”
