Chelsea have included two Super Eagles prospects Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori in their Champions League squad for the 2019/20 season.
Both players are eligible to play their international football for Nigeria.
Ahead of the opening Champions League matches, clubs are required to submit their 25-man squad to UEFA.
According to the rule, each club is responsible for submitting both a ‘list A’ and ‘list B’ of players.
‘List A’ must have a minimum of eight ‘locally trained players’, these are players that have been either with the club, or another club affiliated with the same association (association trained player)between the ages of 15 and 21.
However, no more than four of the eight can be association trained players.
Both Tomori and Abraham fall under the locally trained players named in Chelsea’s squad for the competition.
