Courtois angered by Hazard during his Real Madrid debut

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has revealed he got angered by his Belgian compatriot Eden Hazard as he made his debut for the club in a 3-2 win over Levante.

Hazard was making his first club appearance since joining from Chelsea in the summer, and despite impressing, Courtois found some flaws in his play, in particular giving the ball away as he tried back-heels.

Eden had missed the opening matches following an injury he suffered before the season opened, and was thrown into the mix in the second half with Real leading 3-1.

"Eden showed what he can do in the move where we nearly scored: relaxed on the ball, able to set people up," Courtois told reporters after the match," he said.

"I got a bit angry at him a couple of times because he tried to backheel it and gave it away. But in those moments that he has, he can create a lot of danger."

The keeper was, however, pleased to see his side pick three points, registering a second win in the new campaign following their opening day win against Celta Vigo

"If we had followed on that trajectory (first half play) it was a match we should win 5-0 or 6-0, with all due respect," he added.

They now shift their focus to the Champions League this coming week when they play away to PSG.
