Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he expects Divock Origi to return to action before the month ends after suffering an ankle injury.
Origi started the Newcastle United clash last weekend but was withdrawn before the half time whistle with an ankle injury. He was not part of the Liverpool squad that traveled to Naples on Monday for the Champions League group stage opener against Napoli on Monday.
In an interview with the club's official portal, Klopp confrimed that Origi's injury was nothing serious and is expected to return soon, "The update on Div [Origi] is that it is not too serious. We expect him [to be out for] between one and two weeks, but it depends a little bit on when he can deal with the pain. It is nothing really; it’s a feeling, but it should be fine."
Origi become an Anfield hero after netting a brace in the miraculous comeback against Barcelona and scoring in the 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final.
