Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku has been ruled out of the Barcelona game after he picked up a thigh injury in training.
Lukaku has been superb for Inter since joining them in the summer and the news will be a blow for manager Antonio Conte who needs a perfect team to overcome the Laliga giants in the Tuesday Champions League clash.
Conte said of Lukaku in his news conference: “Romelu didn't travel with us because he's got a slight problem with his quadriceps.
“It's a problem he's had for about 10 days now and one that he kept on mentioning, but tests have revealed that it's nothing serious. We're quite relaxed about it but didn't want to risk him.”
Leading Goal Scorer
Lukaku, who was signed for around £72million from Manchester United in the summer, is the club's leading goalscorer in Serie A alongside midfielder Stefano Sensi, with three goals.
Inter are top of Serie A with a perfect record after six games and also play second-placed Juventus in a top-of-the-table clash on Sunday.
All four teams in Group F have one point, with Barca drawing 0-0 at Borussia Dortmund in their opener while Inter drew 1-1 at Slavia Prague.
