πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦πŸ—£ Pitso: Chiefs always get penalties

Pitso Mosimane has given us a trademark tell-it-like-it-is post match interview.

The Mamelodi Sundowns coach spoke shortly after leading his side to a hard-fought and smartly done 2-1 win over Black Leopards last night.

Mosimane began by indicating some of the match-deciding tactical decisions he took. Pitso confirmed doubling up in his full-back positions to curb Leopards' wing attacks.

"You know they always come back late here, I knew that they would put us under a lot of stress hence my substitutes, I put Lyle [Lakay] and [Tebogo] Langerman on one side, because [Khuliso] Mudau is coming. I put Thapelo [Morena] and Anele [Ngongca] on the right side because [Pentjie] Zulu is coming. So I put my two right backs as wingers because we have a problem of overlaps," Mosimane told SuperSport after the game.

Lidoda Duvha striker Mwape Musonda, whom Sundowns were rumoured to have wanted last season, did enough to earn some glowing Pitso remarks.

"What a good goal by [Mwape] Musonda, he's a prolific striker, he doesn't have to wait a little bit, he just hit it at once. He's a top striker."

The reigning Absa Premiership Coach of the Season quickly changed tone. Mosimane expressed his disappointment from not getting what he felt was a deserved penalty. Adding that if it was Kaizer Chiefs, the officials would have given it.

"But I think we should have got a penalty, the new rule says when your hand is up in the box you must blow. The referee chickened-out, he's going with the old rules. I've suffered twice," he continued.

"When it's [Kaizer] Chiefs, it's always a penalty, it was a penalty [for] Chiefs yesterday. I must get a penalty also, I must benefit. Chiefs is benefitting from the mistakes of referees, it's not about Chiefs, I'm highlighting the realities. It is true, no matter what,' Mosimane concluded.
