Adama Traore scored a brace as visiting Wolverhampton Wanderers shocked champions Manchester City at the Etihad in week eight of the English Premier League action.
Wolves started the game brilliantly in the first half and had three golden chances to capitalize on poor City defending and take the lead in the opening 25 minutes but they were all squandered.
City reminded their visitors that they were not in to play games as he saw a 67th-minute free-kick come off the bar but it was Wolves who turned the tables on their hosts ten minutes from time.
A lightning-fast counter-attack was finished off by Adama Traoré to give Wolves the lead to pile more pressure on Pep Guardiola’s misery; the winger bagging a second goal in injury time to put the result beyond doubt.
It is almost a year to the day since City last failed to score in a Premier League match (last season’s 0-0 draw at Anfield) and this result leaves them eight points behind league leaders Liverpool heading into the international break.
