Liverpool's Harvey Elliott banned for 14 days over offensive Kane video

Liverpool's Harvey Elliot has been banned from all football activities for a period of 14 days, after admitting to using derogatory language in a video about Harry Kane.

The 16-year-old, who was signed by the Reds in the summer, will also complete a face-to-face education course and pay a £350 fine as part of the punishment.

Elliott posted the video, which was deemed offensive, according to existing FA rules, during Tottenham's Champions League final defeat by Liverpool on 1 June.

In the clip, which was recorded and posted on Snapchat while Eliot was still a Fulham player shows the 16-year-old impersonating Kane under the caption "F***ing m*ng".

In his defence, Elliot said he was not aware that the terms he used mocked disabled people.

Elliot was signed from the London club in the summer and made his debut during the Carabao Cup win over MK Dons in September.
