Harambee Stars skipper Victor Wanyama has admitted that squandering a number of chances in the 1-0 loss to Mozambique in the International Friedly on Sunday costed them.
Francis Kimanzi's charges had a flurry of chances in the game but failed to capitalize on any with Michael Olunga taking time to pull the trigger in the early minutes of the game as Mozambique moved to avert the danager.
The best chances in the second half fell to substitutes Jesse Were and Whyvonne Isuza who failed to score from close range. Canhembe Amancio profited from a defensive mishap by Stars to score the lone goal of the game.
Speaking to futaa after the game, Wanyama shared his thoughts on the game, "The performance was not bad we pick positives and I think we had a lot of chances but we were unlucky not to score, we made one mistake and that's how we got punished."
Stars next face Egypt away and host Togo on November 10th & 19th respectively in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
