Sensational Zanaco winger Charles Zulu says he is happy to be back in the national team following a lengthy absence.
The speedy winger was named in coach Aggrey Chiyangi's 24 member squad to face the Sihlangu of Eswatini on Saturday in the second leg of their CHAN 2020 final round qualifier.
Zulu is one of the four Zanaco players summoned by. Chiyangi. The others are Goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata, Midfielder Kelvin Kapumbu, and Defender Lawrence Chungu.
"I am happy to be back, this is what I wanted after being off for so long which is a good start for me," he said.
"I have a chance to prove myself this Saturday and I have to do a good job so that I can become a regular in the national team."
Zulu's last National Team call up was in September 2018. Unfortunately, he sustained an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear before he could get a chance to feature in the team which was to face Mozambique on 18th November for the 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations qualifiers the second leg.
The Copper Bullets carry a 1-0 advantage thanks to an Amity Shamende strike in the first leg that fave them a 1-0 away win.
Zambia and Eswatini will square on Saturday at the National Heroes Stadium at 15:00hrs with the winner over the two legs qualifying to the tournament.
