Zambia national team caretaker coach Aggrey Chiyangi says the team has to forget the game they won in Eswatini as it can not qualify them for the tournament.
Chiyangi revealed that the players have been psyched to put the win behind them and focus on the game they will play this afternoon.
"We have psyched the players and made sure that the result we had in Eswatini, They forget about that and play a new game tomorrow, " he said.
"We don't want to put the game we won in Eswatini in our heads, We have to forget about it, We want to win this game and qualify because we know the win we had in Eswatini can't qualify us, It is winning here tomorrow (today) which will qualify us so that's how important the game is. As they have said they will play an attacking game, It makes things easier for us as they will be many holes to exploit in their defense," he added.
The Chipolopolo stand-in coach believes the friendly match against Benin in which he started 10 locally-based players was very good for the teams' preparations.
"It was important for us to use the players for CHAN. When those games came up we had to think about how best to prepare the CHAN team because the AFCON qualifier is not now. We came back on Tuesday so how were we going to prepare if we did not put the CHAN team into consideration," he said.
" Playing against Benin was a good thing. They played well and the Challenge that they had was good. I know in football people pretend as if they know when they are very far because you can't call Benin a small team, You can't call Niger a small team. Playing against those teams was very good preparation for us, " he added.
The Copper Bullets and the Sihlangu will square off at the National Heroes Stadium on Saturday at 15:00 hours with the winner over two legs qualifying to the Cameroon 2020 CHAN.
